Welcome to Holiday and Course Centre Onnela!

The holiday and course centre Onnela is situated in the municipality of Tuusula, only half an hour´s drive from Helsinki. Onnela provides ample conference, restaurant, and accommodation services in pleasant countryside surroundings.

Onnela offers

• 60 beds
• a fully licenced restaurant
• a cafeteria
• a lakeside sauna
• an indoor sauna and swimming pool
• a varied range of supplementary programme

Onnela has assembly and banqueting rooms for as many as 180 persons. The assembly programme may be combined with brisk walks and recreation: Finnish Church Boat rowing, park golf, or, for instance, walking with snowshoes.

The holiday and course centre Onnela is situated by Lake Tuusula in an area famous in Finland for its cultural history. In the beginning of the 20th century, a famous artists´community was founded in this area when a group of Finnish writers, artists, and composers moved here to enjoy the peace of the countryside. The famous Finnish poet Eino Leino was a frequent guest in Onnela, then a boarding house, where he also stayed for a longer period. The Impivaara House, the old main building of Onnela, today has a commemoration room, dedicated to the poet Eino Leino.

The holiday and course centre Onnela is owned by The Finnish Federation of the Visually Impaired.
